Rebecca AzzarelloBiologist and Nutritionist

Rebecca Azzarello – Nutrition biologist “soon to be”, I graduated from the University of Insubria in the Faculty of Biological Sciences and, currently, I am in the last year of the Master’s Degree course in Biology applied to the sciences of Nutrition at the University of Milan.

I am carrying out my degree internship at the Oncology Day Hospital of the Sant’Antonio Abate Hospital of Gallarate of the ASST Valle Olona under the expert guidance of Dr. Salvatore Artale and Dr. Sabrina Basciani, with whom I recently started collaborating for various research projects. One in particular is the research project object of my Master’s thesis which will examine the variation of the intestinal microbiota in patients with colorectal cancer by applying a specific nutritional therapy.

At this point I think it is easy to deduce my keen interest in nutrition as a winning weapon for improving the quality of life and the psycho-physical well-being of cancer patients and beyond. It all starts with good and healthy habits, often viewed with a critical eye because they are immediately related to a life of deprivation and limitations. On the other hand, it is amazing to make it clear that it is exactly the opposite of what is believed.

The world of nutrition is so vast that, most of the time, it creates a lot of confusion and disorientation.
